KPIs
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are accountability performance metrics used in Child DAOs. They connect governance outcomes with measurable performance and determine whether the DAO has achieved its stated objectives.
Settlement
The KPI settlement process occurs at the close of an epoch (≈1 month):
On-chain KPIs: If the performance metrics are measurable within the Waves blockchain, results can be verified automatically on-chain.
Off-chain KPIs: If the metrics cannot be measured on-chain, the community votes to decide whether the KPI has been met.
The KPI measurement mechanism ensures that funding within Child DAOs is conditional on verified performance and aligns incentives with measurable outcomes:
If KPIs are confirmed as met, treasury funds and rewards are distributed.
If KPIs are not met, distributions may be withheld or reduced.
